sidsafari 2 Report post Posted May 29, 2013 I've a 2007 model maruti SX4 having 60/55 w headlights, I find them really dim for highway driving, so I request the members for a correct replacement for those halonix bulbs. 2 Essellneats and trinylayeliah reacted to this
creativebala 178 Report post Posted May 29, 2013 ^^ Osram Nightbreaker, costs about 800 bucks. Slightly white in color, so might pose difficulty on rainy days, but this one has awesome brightness. This won't spoil your reflector.
librankur 39 Report post Posted May 29, 2013 CreativeBala gave you the correct match. For increased highway usage you may also consider to install additional lamps.

sidsafari 2 Report post Posted May 31, 2013 What is the difference between H4 & H7 bulbs.
sb-alto 21 Report post Posted June 2, 2013 sid Your car can only house H4 bulbs, which have H/L beam integrated into one bulb. Generally cars with twin barrel headlamp setup have h7 setups with two different bulbs. If you are looking to improve light then both nightbreakers and extreme vision are good options. They are available in h4 options. There are some very good projector setup for sx4, which you can import from outside. They will be costly though. dewank 4 Report post Posted June 5, 2013 I'm using Halonix 130/90w bulbs with relay on my Esteem for the last 1.5 years and no problems so far. The total cost was 130 for the bulbs and 750 for the relay. The total cost including installation came to Rs. 1000. There is no blackening or melting of reflectors despite some long night drives. You can also consider this option but also be considerate for others on the road. Using high beam with upgraded bulbs can cause problems to oncoming vehicles. livetodrive 17 Report post Posted June 6, 2013 As they say, there is no replacement for displacement. Try 90/100 ones, they don't cost more than 200 rupees a pop and really change the way the world looks in the front at night. Get a relay kit along with it which is a direct plug and play. 100/130 will blacken the headlight reflectors in the long run due to the intense heat they produce. dewank 4 Report post Posted June 6, 2013 @livetodrive All marutis have metal reflectors. So you need not worry about its blackening or melting. It all depends on the user's choice whether to go for high powered bulbs or for 90/100 ones.

sidsafari 2 Report post Posted July 9, 2013 One more thing I wanted to ask what are the pros. & cons of teflon coating on car body.
Anveshak 1 Report post Posted December 5, 2013 Buy an ABBRO car wax it has Teflon, Teflon protects the car paint from sun's UV rays and hard salts deposits from water. You yourself can do the job.
