rssh
Even I noticed this problem in this monsoon, my wipers are in good conditions but I think there is rubber deposits on the outside due to micro-scratches causing uneven wiping . I think I am going to use toothpaste to clean the windscreen once its a bit dry because my experience with glass cleaners in not satisfactory. rssh
I really wouldn't use any kind of abrasive pads even if its microscopic on the windscreen .While searching in the net for products I cam across this http://www.autotrends.in/index.php/car-care-products/glass-window-care/car-care-formula-1-glass-cleaner-with-rain-repellant-710ml.html. It looks like colin with better rain repellent properties

dr_nishu
I'm using Maruti Suzuki provided MGA Glass cleaner for both of my cars, Alto & DZire. For Alto it worked perfectly till now, since 2006. For cars of other brands, try the glass cleaners of their respective brands, even if they come a bit expensive. dr_nishu
Well glass cleaner is one we can add to the washer fluid for better cleaning.. But we are talikng about a bigger problem i.e micro scratches.. And cleaning the wind shield free from deposits.. I'm also not talking about that 2-3ml sachet based glass cleaners. I'm referring to spray based glass cleaners. They're having following advantages: -They're quite soft in texture, so they prevent drop formation after cleaning & duster scratches while cleaning. -Secondly people say windshield should be cleaned with newspaper or any cloth type but i'd say & even advice softest cotton cloth use for its cleaning(if not the expensive). -Third, its the life of windshield of ~5years, after which it automatically starts reflecting scratches & light scattering. If there's still anything available in market for vanishing such kind of scratches, then its info must be shared here.

dr_nishu
This is the view I get in rains :-/ Dr pls advice if your MGA solution is capable of sorting this (pics attached) Either the wiper blades of your car are hardened(obviously happens after 2-3 years) or you're using Oily or greasy cloth for windshield cleaning. Solution: Keep a separate soft cotton cloth for windshield cleaning. If in your case, it's not due to both the above stated reasons, then it usually happens when we operate the wipers in mild drizzling conditions without using the washer fluid. For slow rains or mild drizzle, then operate wipers with washer, until the windshield becomes completely wet.

dr_nishu
Hmm I guess the wiper blades are fine.. can the MGA glass cleaner help? I have colin @ home is it same as the MGA cleaner? No it's different than Colin@home. But problem of your car is due to oil or grease deposit on the windshield of your car, which can happen due to using oily cloth for its cleaning. Try to clean it with New, fresh, soft cotton cloth. Yes you can try MGA glass cleaner also but rub the glass with clean cloth only after its application, not with the cloth previously used one. & If the wiper blades of your car creates noise while wiping that means they're gone & needs replacement. Btw, about which car you're talking here ? Is it Corolla or else !
