P_One 0 Report post Posted August 30, 2007 Gaurav Gill is the blue-eyed boy of Indian motorsport at present. Having raced both motorcross and single seaters in his early career, a bad accident sidelined him for a couple of years before he made a cracking comeback in 2005, driving for Team JK Tyre in the INRC. Suddenly, every body took notice of his fearless driving, something for which he received both bouquets and brickbats. A big roll at the Coffee Day rally in Chikmaglur in 2006 had many of his detractors saying "i told you so" but that didnt deter the lad, who took the championship all the way down to the wire against his hugely experienced teammate Naren Kumar. For 2007, Gaurav has now joined hands with Team MRF, for whom he is driving in the INRC, the APRC and the Saloon car series as well. He leads the INRC by a country mile, but his APRC campaign fizzled out after he trashed his Evo in New Caledonia. Oh, and he won the premier Formula Rolon Chevrolet championship in 2006 too.
