And now for the Micra Active. It is essentially the old Micra witha few changes

The front view. Note the restyled front bumper

The steering and dash. Similar to the old model that we have seen

Front seats get integrated head rests to keep costs low

The rear seats

The centre console with integrated music system. This was the XV variant on display

And finally the rear. Prominent Active badging on the boot

The Micra Active seems super VFM for the price really. It should sell well and even though its the old model, it still feels fresh with those updates

Nice coverage. Do note that the restyled bumper on the Micra Active is available only on the top-end XV variant. Other models continue with the old style version.

Rs 3.5 lakh ex-showroom gives you a car as big as a swift almost but standard equipment includes only A/C and Power steering with Tilt.

Compare this price to say the Alto K10 or the Eon or maybe the Indica eV2, I would surely go for a more spacious and a newer hatch which is the Micra.

I am thinking to buy Petrol Micra active (XV-Safety) which is costing me aroung 5.20 lacs in Delhi, My priority is safety so it be micra as its have ,ABS, AIrBag, Break assist and etc.

Please advise, I shall go with the deal or expolore more. Micra after sale n service is not less than Skoda and expensive too.

My pick would have been the same in its new look or may be wait for the Grand

Hyundai is surely better than Nissan on many accounts.

Thanks, I will wait for Grand and will compare with Brio as safety is my first priority.

Brio may cost extra 50k however, additional features like defogger, alloy wheels and more market presence n less service issue.

New Micra XE Diesel launched at Rs.5.57 lacs only:

Nissan has launched the basic (XE) entry level trim of the diesel powered Micra, which was facelifted recently. The XE trim retails at Rs. 5,57,390/- (ex-showroom, Delhi). This addition of the XE trim sums up to a total of 12 variants for the Micra including the petrol variants. The introduction of the lowest variant for the Micra diesel comes just a day after the launch of Hyundai Grand i10, which is priced at Rs. 5.24 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the basic Era diesel variant. The Micra even after getting a significant facelift couldn’t find many buyers and now the competition is getting stiffer, hence the move.

Nissan hasn’t released the XE trim for the petrol powered Micra. Until now, the XL trim was the basic trim of the Nissan Micra diesel, which costs Rs. 5,99,900/- (ex-showroom, Delhi). There is a significant price difference of around Rs. 40,000/- between the XE and XL. The Micra XE comes with bare basic features. The highlights of the basic trim includes chrome plated radiator grille, tilt steering, drive computer, driver airbag, immobilizer, follow me headlamps, dual horn, etc.
