sanjithchandran
Cross breed of Ertiga and City.Maurti failed to become segment leader with Baleno and SX4 before and doubtful to reach the top spot with Ciaz. I would like to see they bring Magneti Auto transmission to Ciaz,Dzire,Swift,Ritz and Ertiga to improve their market share.

Prashantroxx
I liked the alloys on Chinese model. If maruti csn offer this with LED Tail lamps, then the back may look better.

UVian
I see it affecting Vento, Rapid, Sunny, Linea more rather than City and Verna. Should easily sell around 2 to 3000 cars per month if priced well. It should undercut City and Verna in terms of price otherwise it will struggle, as even though it looks good, that wow factor has been toned down to an extent which was there in the concept. arush009
A nice looking car for sure from Maruti suzuki after a long time like after Kizashi. The concept model shown at auto expo, delhi was different but still loos beautiful. Worth buying and enjoying.
monoclonal
Ciaz a good car, however low power engines. I would say Honda still carry snob value in the segment and VW Vento is technically superior cars in both P and D. Honda will remain market leader of the segment irrespective whatever the ex-showroom price or technical flaws.
sachins
As per ACI article, Ciaz diesel FE is rated at 26.3 kmpl, making it the most efficient diesel car in the country. How did they achieve that FE figure with same 1.3 L MJD engine, may be addition of 6th gear? Anyhow, given it's a Maruti and they will price it very aggressively, I think this car will sell. Though I still don't think it will be able to dethrone City from top spot.
Palranger.99
Guys, I've planned to buy the Ciaz by Diwali. Can anyone help me out with the alloys thing, I wish to replace the stock R16 alloys with even bigger wheels. Will this be advisable? If it's feasible, please let me know. I would also like to know the pros/cons. Thank you.

cify154
what will be the quality of music system? touch screen alone does not improve music quality. good quality speakers and amp matters too. touchscreen system must have option for subwoofer output

PrancingHorse
Maruti has launched the Ciaz sedan and I attended the Mumbai launch event. The car was unveiled by the brand ambassador for the Ciaz actor Ranveer Singh who was also handed keys to a car as well. This is also the first time I got to see the Ciaz in the flesh and here are my personal observations... The car has a simple design and is surely pleasing on the eye. Its not outstanding though to say the least. Im not too fond of the front grille, because im not a chrome person but at the same time those projector head lamps look really nice . The rear looks too similar to the new Honda City. Alloy wheels on the display car were a multi spoke design which will be offered in 15 and 16 inch sizes on the top variants The insides are a mix of black and beige. There is good space in the rear but otherwise the interior doesnt feel special. You can find a mix of chrome and fakewood trims. There are a lot of bits of the Swift in the Ciaz like the power window switch console. The rear passengers get AC vents and a power outlet. Here are the introductory Ex Mumbai prices Adding detailed pictures of the Ciaz in the next few posts

AMG1
That is some good photo coverage! One point to note is that the car on display doesn't have the SmartPlay infotainment system. Maruti now says that variant will come next year.
