Maruti Suzuki's finally launched the updated Ciaz in India! Here's the complete price breakup: DlB-pvsXgAISZXA.jpg

At this price, the new Ciaz undercuts rivals like the Honda City (Rs 8.77-13.88 lakh), the Hyundai Verna (Rs 7.90-12.86 lakh) and the Toyota Yaris (Rs 8.75-14.07 lakh). In fact, the base diesel on the facelift costs about Rs 30,000 less than the outgoing model. The price difference is even larger on the top-spec trims, climbing to about Rs 50,000.

The big talking point of course, is the new 1.5-litre K15B four-cylinder motor with micro-hybrid tech. Maruti says power is up by 13% to 105hp and torque up by 6% to 138Nm. The diesel engine is the same Fiat-sourced 1.3-litre unit, with 90hp and 200Nm of torque.

The car delivers an impressive ARAI-certified fuel efficiency of 21.56kpl for petrol manual, 20.28kpl for the petrol automatic and 28.09kpl for diesel manual.

Finally a walkaround of the Ciaz S. This new trim is based on the top-spec Alpha manual variant but gets a body kit that adds bits like a black boot-mounted spoiler. It also gets gloss black-finished 16-inch alloy wheels. On the inside, the Ciaz S gets all-black interiors while the standard variants continue with the dual-tone beige-black theme.
