PrancingHorse 1 Report post Posted September 5, 2013 Honda had first showcased the urban SUV concept at the Detroit Motor Show and looks like Honda is doing some serious testing of the vehicle. Here are the first spy shots of the Urban SUV testing .The car seems to look a lot similar to the concept that was shown earlier this year. The SUV is based on the new Jazz and should go on sale next year. This would also be perfect for India and the it should come here with the 1.5 litre diesel engine that is currently doing duty in the Amaze. This will go up against the existing compact SUVs in our market. Here are the spy shots and Ive also attached pics of the concept for comparison and pics of the concept for reference Pics are grabbed from a video at this source:

naveenk05 0 Report post Posted September 5, 2013 I hope Honda will launch this car sooner in India to boost up their sales... This car looks much bolder, stylish and promising, which will be welcomed by Indian Buyers. Also Honda should price this car aggressively to compete with Duster, EcoSport and Terrano
dr_nishu 198 Report post Posted September 5, 2013 With wider track & strong road presence, it seems to be size similar to Duster & a notch bigger car than EcoSport. But just see its high speed performance & stability in the video. Moving on to the looks, how close it resembles to its concept car & with high shoulder like bulged LED tail-lamps, it is making its style statement in itself. Pricing close to Duster means, a huge bookings list for Honda.
maverick786us1 2 Report post Posted September 6, 2013 This will be a dream car for me. When will it come in indian market? I can wait upto an year and hold the order for EcoSports. The concept design is amazing.
vr.46 1 Report post Posted September 6, 2013 Wish Honda can price it sensibly at launch in the indian market. C+ segment sedans will face a tough future as every global manufacturer is working on Mini suv's. Station wagons can be bid goodbye. Time for Vw to bring in the Tiguan and Skoda to lower the prices for the Yeti. Rav4 , Hyundai mini suv, maruti xa alpha all can and will gate crash into the party in the next 2 years. Who will trump the sales charts in this segment will be very interesting to watch once all launches and market consolidation takes place
lucky1067 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2013 By any chance do you know If this is thE Brio based or the Jazz based platform ?
neerajd 7 Report post Posted September 10, 2013 Audi Q3-ish.. and definitely looks like its built on the Jazz platform. A very catchy looking car and I'm pretty sure its going to bang into the Duster-Ecosport segment. They now have the added advantage of the 1.6 diesel with them for an India launch. The beautiful City engine can also be mated to this car making this a very very lucrative offering from Honda.
Sstar 77 Report post Posted September 11, 2013 A very attractive from outside, this is definitely going to make in India, because the concept in itself will not any more justified if it is launched in India. Honda is trying to next Toyota in global car segment.

cars4life 24 Report post Posted September 2, 2014 Honda has launched a version of its Vezel compact SUV in China and has called it the XR-V. The 4,275mm long, 1,770mm wide and 1,605mm tall crossover rides on a 2,610mm wheelbase and will soon launch in China with a choice of two petrol engines with 1.5-liter and 1.8-liter displacements. Honda's designers made several changes to the XR-V's front and rear ends on the exterior, and the instrument panel and dashboard inside over the Vezel. If China can get this crossover , why cant Honda think of making this year. It would surely sell well Source
